Sportatorium II Has Something for Everyone

Ping Pong Players show their best at the Catholic Community Center in Steubenville, OH. (circa 1950s ish)

Back in the day, these fellas played a mean game of ping pong at the Catholic Community Center in Steubenville, OH. These days, the Center is Sportatorium II, which is being renovated to once again engage youth, young adults and everyone interested in fun and healthy activities. Knowing that ping pong was popular at the Center years ago, we believe it will make a comeback in Sportatorium II. Imagine having a place to go to where each member of the family could do something. 12-year old Sarah may be found in the multi-purpose room playing ping pong against one of her friends. Another family member might be in the computer lounge building a virtual city in "Mindcraft." The 8-year old son might be wrestling and building life skills along the way. Mom could be focused on her golf game, practicing chipping in the former swimming pool area, now filled in and home to golf and baseball activities. And, for Dad...well, he's probably up in the gym competing in his weekly basketball league.

Something for everyone...that's the Sportatorium II, coming to Steubenville, OH by year-end 2015.

Stay tuned and be sure to show your support for Sportatorium II, operated by Smitty's Wrestling Club, Inc. (501c3 Nonprofit). We are always looking for people to share their Time (volunteer), Talent (professional insights) and/or Treasure (financial donations or in-kind gifts) as we journey towards renovating the future home of Sportatorium II.
